This course is meant to reinforce and enhance the learner’s fundamental skills in communicative writing. During the course, we will look closely at the various components of the writing process including sentence structure, paragraphing, grammar, word choice, punctuation, and organization. You will be exposed to many different writing styles, and will be required to rewrite, expand, correct, complete, and improve paragraphs. Through frequent in-class writing exercises the learner will learn to use description and narration as modes of developing their ideas. By the end of this course students will be prepared to craft well-written paragraphs for a variety of contexts.
